PREPARE FOR TRIAL OR WEDDING
1.  OUTFIT: Please come with a white/neutral colored dress or top if possible, anything that would show your shoulder lines. The purpose is to envision the makeup & hairstyle as if you would have it on your wedding day in the bridal gown. Dress up a little if you feel like it.

2. BEFORE/AFTER PHOTO DECISION: For your best interest and for my portfolio, I often take really nice before/after photos of you, and will send you some copies to keep later. I enjoy photography but this is additional work for me. If you know you won’t be comfortable having me blogging about our session or including your photos in my portfolio, please let me know right at the beginning!

3.  HAIR: please come with your hair washed & completely dried the day/night before. If newly washed & still damp in the root, it’ll be hard for me to style & there’ll be lots of fly-aways in most cases. If you have very fine and thin hair, then don’t wash it the night before and go to sleep with your hair still a little wet, the hair will lost all of its volume and look so flat the next day. If you must wash at night, make sure you blow dry (warm or cool mode). On the other hand, if you’re blessed with thicker fuller hair and you have normal to dry scalp, then feel free to keep it even 2 days old for our session.

4.  FACE: please keep it well moisturized and maintain a good routine at least a week before wedding day. EXFOLIATE or use a gentle clay mask regularly! Drink a lot of water to help your body hydrated. Don’t forget to take good care of your under eyes area where we tend to have either puffiness, dark circles or fine lines … Use a good eye cream to help this problem if you have. I personally don’t like to use a lot of concealer under the eyes (especially if clients have dryness problem under the eyes) because it may look good at first but throughout the day it’ll soon start to crack & enhance visible fine lines – which we want to avoid. These fine lines probably won’t show in picture if that happens, but in poor lighting & in person, everyone will see.

FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR SKIN (before trial + before wedding day):

Exfoliating: If you exfoliate your skin at least 1-2/week or twice a month, that’s great! If not, please consider doing so and keep a good routine every week (1-2x/wk).I also provide facial service at my studio

When there’s so much dead skin built up, it’s hard for the makeup to lays on smoothly or last long. There’s no Magic product! It takes both of us to make it happen.
